Run 4 All Women is back with a new mission: to help flip congress with the Midterm Run. The Midterm Run is a national grassroots progressive initiative to raise money and awareness of candidates running to flip Congress by running (or walking) 2018 miles. There will be group runs in Brooklyn, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, Boston, San Fransisco, and San Diego.
We're excited to announce that we're kicking off City Fit Girls group runs in Denver, Colorado! On Monday, September 17th, join our co-leaders Corey and Logan at 6:30PM, for an inaugural 3-mile fun run ending with ice cream at Sweet Action! The group run will start at the Denver Civic Center Park.
When Kiera asked me to create a half-marathon training plan, I was excited to create something to help her cross the finish line at the Philadelphia Half Marathon in November. If you've been following her on Instagram, you know that she's been spending a lot of time on her yoga mat and at the gym and less time putting in long distance mileage.

In last week's newsletter, I opened up about my experience with therapy. I'll admit it, I wasn't sure if I should get this personal in our newsletter but because of the stigma associated with therapy and mental health, I decided to share my experience in hopes that it could help someone else.

Have you been thinking about switching up your regular routine and hitting the trails for some (or all) of your runs? If you find yourself itching to escape the roads or the treadmill, trail running can be a great option for you. In fact, according to Scott Douglas, the author of Running is My Therapy, studies have shown that running in nature can be very beneficial for our mental health.
This past weekend, we kicked off City Fit Girls Streak with a 9ish mile bike ride in Philadelphia. Like our group runs, our rides are welcoming to cyclists of all fitness levels.
We started at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and made our way down Martin Luther King Drive to take advantage of the Sunday morning car-free roads.
In no particular order, we compiled a list of 31 outdoor activities that count toward City Fit Girls' streak! Whether you can do 5 or all 31 activities, this will be the perfect time to switch up your gym routine and soak up some sunshine.
Summer is officially here and it's that time of year! No, we're not talking about chilling out on the beach (although you should do that too), we're talking about City Fit Girls Streak! We're challenging the women in our community to 31 days of physical activity throughout the month of July. Are you in?
