Winter is finally here. We told you that temps would be dropping and that you should prepare yourself for winter running. YES, winter running! You've run (or wanted to run) all year long, why stop now? Because it's cold? That is no excuse... Your favorite brands spend a lot of time and resources making the perfect pieces for you to enjoy running in any weather. Plus, you spend a LOT of time and resources working towards your fitness and running goals.

Don't let all of that hard work go to waste. Follow these 5 tips to keep you moving and saying YES to winter running.

START saying "you can" instead of "you can't"

We know this is easier said than done but you have to change how you speak and think about winter running.  Create daily mantras and post them throughout your home and/or in your phone. A constant reminder that you are more powerful than your excuses will be the key to success.

Surround yourself with people who inspire you

When you surround yourself with people that don't let anything get in their way of sucess, you will start acting and thinking the same way. Find someone that runs no matter what the temperature is and ask them to either a) hold you accountable or b) tell you their secrets to success. Or maybe they can do both??

Remind yourself that YOU are a badass

Repeat after us: I AM A BADASS.

Do NOT let the WEATHER tell you otherwise. If you need an eye opener, head to your local November Project workout at 6:25 am on Wednesdays and watch 100+ people show up like it's a summer day in the city.

Repeat after us: I AM A BADASS. (Yes, we want you to say it again)

Remind yourself that pain is temporary, quitting last forever

We're not telling you that it won't be cold (because it will be). We're telling you that it's just 4% of your entire day and that you will  feel a sense of accomplishment afterwards. And with the proper gear, you'll quickly realize that running in cold weather is not as bad you may have thought.

Run with friends!

We can't express how important it is to be a part of a group who pushes you and expects the best from you. Community is everything and you don't have to do this alone.
