Have you heard? We're challenging our fitness community - AGAIN - to 31 straight days of physical activity.
City Fit Girls is all about inspiring, encouraging, uplifting and motivating other women to stay active and fit. We're using this streak not only to motivate ourselves, but to hold other women in our community accountable to reach their fitness goals. Because that's what girlfriends are for, am I right?
Here's how it works:
Ground rules: Commit to running 1 mile OR participating in at least 30 minutes of physical activity everyday. Post EVERYDAY using the hashtag #cfgstreak on Twitter, Instagram AND/OR post on the pinned post in the City Fit Girls Run Club group. P.S. You don't have to live in PA or NJ to join in. Our community is everywhere =)
Remember, the challenge will begin on the 1st of the month and end on the 31st.
Who can participate? If you believe in inspiring other women to reach their fitness goals, you can participate! Feel free to invite your best girlfriend, mom, auntie, sisters, and cousins.
If you're new to working out, consult with your physician before trying any new workout regimen.
Engage: Use the hashtag #cfgstreak on your social media posts so that other women in the network can "like" and comment on your pictures. Be sure to connect with other City Fit Girls online, don't be shy!
Seriously, we can't stress this enough. This community only works when you interact and encourage each other!
What counts as physical activity?
We thought you'd never ask. Commit to doing at least 30 minutes of physical activity OR run at least 1 mile everyday. Sample workouts include the following:
A 30 minute bike ride (leisure or commuting)
A fitness class (Spin, CrossFit, Barre, Pilates, etc.)
A 30 minute walk through the park or on the treadmill
A yoga class or practice at home
Go for a swim
A 3-mile run or 30 minute tempo workout
Is there a workout that we missed? Do it and let us know when you're done! Don't forget to share using the hashtag #cfgstreak.
Remember, the goal is to workout or run everyday.
You got questions? We've got answers.
What if I miss a day? Don't sweat it. Feel free to jump back in when you're ready.
Can I start the challenge at anytime? If you missed the beginning of the streak, you can jump in at any time during the month.
Is working out everyday bad for me? Yes, if you go overboard. Be sure to add low-impact workouts and yoga into your fitness regimen so that your body has enough time to recover in between tough workouts.
I'm suffering from an injury, can I still join? You probably shouldn't but consult with your doctor to be sure.
I hate social media, how will I share? Selfie or it didn't happen. Just kidding, but this is a social media based challenge so sharing is caring. Be sure to always tag @cityfitgirls #cfgstreak.
I can't access the 'City Fit Girls Run Club' group on Facebook, what should I do? Click here and request to join. Once another member accepts you in the group, you can share your progress. Or just post to Instagram & Twitter!
Are there organized City Fit Girls group runs and workouts to participate in? No but feel free to connect with other women in your city to schedule workouts, runs and more together.
What happens when I complete the streak? You'll get an "official" finisher's badge to post on your social media channels so you can brag to all of your friends. We're also working with our partners to offer prizes along the way!

Here's a quick recap -- 'Streak With City Fit Girls' is a running/workout streak that last an entire month. It's open to all women in City Fit Girls online community (including social media).
In order to track your progress, share your workouts on social media using the hashtag #cfgstreak. If you want to interact with other women, be sure to share your progress in the 'City Fit Girls Run Club' Facebook page or on Twitter and Instagram.
