Recap: City Fit Girls Tried SLT - Strengthen, Lengthen, Tone (And It Was Tough!)

On Monday December 11th, we opted for an indoor sweating and goal setting session with our friends at SLT (Strengthen Lengthen Tone) in Philadelphia. SLT is a full body workout that is done with weighted springs (on a megaformer) that requires constant engagement of the core. They have studios in New York City, Brooklyn, Boston, and more so you can try them out if you're not in the Philadelphia Region.


When we arrived to the studio (located above the Free People on Walnut Street), the staff at SLT made us feel very welcome. Another evening class was finishing up and we got a sneak peek at what to expect for the next 50-minutes. We also used this time to connect with other City Fit Girls and prep for the workout. 


As expected, the class was tough from beginning to end. Julia, our instructor, and her music, were A+ so even though the workout was hard, we enjoyed every minute of it. Most of us were brand new to this type of workout and she was super helpful and motivating. Emma, too! If you're looking for a workout to switch things up a little, this one will definitely make you sweat while engaging muscles that you didn't know even had. 


After the workout, we refueled with snacks and juices from SNAP Kitchen and ended the night with a 2018 Goal Writing Session using tools from our popular "How To Stay Motivated & On Track" post.
