But wait, what is cold-pressed juice?
Cold-pressed refers to the method juice is extracted from your favorite fruits and vegetables. Unlike most home juicers, cold-pressed juice doesn't go through a high speed blade, doesn't get heated up and may help retain some nutrients from the fruits and vegetables that you need for recovery. Since there's no air in the grinder, cold-pressed juice typically has a longer shelf life because the fruits and vegetables don't oxidate as quickly.
Is it better for you?
The jury's still out. While many juice experts say that it is, we still don't really know how nourishing juice is for the body. To be safe, enjoy your juice with a well-balanced meal.
