Midterm Run: Run 4 All Women
By Takia McClendon
A few months ago, Kiera and I caught up with our friend Alison Desir on her podcast, Find Meaning on the Run. We talked a lot about community, empowering women and using our platforms to do good for the people we serve. In 2017, Alison created Run 4 All Women and ran from New York City to Washington, D.C. with three other amazing women to raise money and awareness for Planned Parenthood.
Now, Run 4 All Women is back with a new mission: to help flip congress with the Midterm Run. The Midterm Run is a national grassroots progressive initiative to raise money and awareness of candidates running to flip Congress by running (or walking) 2018 miles. There will be group runs in Brooklyn, Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, Boston, San Fransisco, and San Diego.
We’ll be joining in on their Philadelphia meet-up on Monday, September 17th at Philadelphia Runner at 6PM. RSVP to meet us there.
