Hoka One One x Oiselle team up for a new shoe (and we get to test it out)
By Takia McClendon
This spring, Hoka One One and Oiselle are teaming up to release a special edition of the Clayton 2. Oiselle, the all-women's athletic apparel brand that focuses on empowerment, performance and leisure gear, first announced the shoe collaboration in August. With Hoka shoes becoming more and more mainstream, we couldn't be more excited to hear about the news.
What's the Clayton?
The Hoka One One Clayton 2 is a lightweight cushioned shoe for runners. Hoka describes it as a "moderate" support shoe. It features PRO2LITE technology with a softer heel for cushioning and a firmer forefoot for propulsion. The RMAT® outsole layer eliminates the excess weight of traditional rubber and finishes off the ride with a responsive edge.
The specs: The shoe weighs 7 oz and has a 24mm/20mm, 4mm drop.
When does the shoe release?
The Clayton 2 has a April 2017 release date. There will be two color ways, and both will retail at $150.
Join us for a test run!: City Fit Girls will be teaming up with Philadelphia Runner, Hoka One One, and Oiselle to demo the Clayton 2 on Wednesday, April 12th. We'll meet at Philadelphia Runner - Center City at 6:30PM for a 3-mile run. If you'd like to test the shoe, plan to arrive early. We'll end back at the store for some post-run refreshments and giveaways. RSVP here.
