Philly: Everything You Need To Know About Our Scavenger Run
By Takia McClendon
On Wednesday, August 23, City Fit Girls Run Club will be trading in our regular 3-miles for a challenging (more fun!) Scavenger Run through Old City. If you're a little nervous or unsure what to expect, this short blog will get you up-to-speed.
How will the scavenger run work? Put on your detective hats ladies because you're going to need them. We'll break up into groups of 4 or 5 and head out of Dilworth Park to find all the clues on our list. P.S. This will be a great time to connect with new people in our community.
How will we track what we find? Good question. At least one person will document the clues you find via Insta Stories on the Instagram app. You can capture video, boomerangs, selfies, etc. but the main goal is to have a good time and solve all ten clues. Be sure to tag @cityfitgirls and use the #cityfitgirls hashtag on your posts. (Our videos will be compiled into one big insta Story)
How long is the run? The run **should** be about 3.5 miles but it will depend on what route you take to find the clues. We will put 60 minutes on the clock from the time we leave Dilworth Park for everyone to return. If you don't find all the clues, don't worry. Head back to Dilworth Park anyway.
How will we know what the clues are? I'll give out handouts at the start of the run.
Remember, the goal is to have fun. The first group back will get bragging rights until the next scavenger run!
