Philly: Join Us For a Private Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga

We wrote a blog about where to take Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga in your city and now we'll be able to experience it together in Philly! Join us on Friday, August 5th from 6:00PM-7:30PM at Spruce Street Harbor Park. Keep reading for details. 

WHAT IS SUP YOGA?

ICYMI: SUP is a 60-90-minute (usually vinyasa) yoga practice that is led by a certified instructor on a paddleboard...on a large body of water. This meditative practice will help you increase balance and strengthen your core. 

If you're thinking about signing up, here's a few things you should know:

You'll need a board, leash, a paddle and anchor to get out on the water. These will be provided by the SUP company. 

You'll paddle to-and-from your class (Your instructor will tell you where to anchor) 
If you're uncomfortable on a paddleboard, this is the class for YOU.

Classes typically range from $30-$60/session but our session is just $25 and your $25 will go directly to their waterway cleanup efforts. 

HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT: 

  • A 45-minute Floating SUP Yoga Flow (up to 10 participants)
  • A 30-minute Stand Up Paddle Boarding Cleanup of the harbor after the yoga flow (Optional)
  • Opportunities to mingle at the waterfront after class at any of the park’s awesome public spaces, including the floating barge, beer garden, and food trucks
  • A fun team-building event, rewarding to mind, body, soul, that builds connection within the group outside your studio setting
