This was supposed to be a post about me running my longest distance since February 2017. While I am extremely proud of that, I’m going to use this opportunity to practice getting over one of my fears - being vulnerable (blah).Read More
If the events surrounding Dr. Christine Beasley Ford and Judge Kavanaugh's testimonies on Capitol Hill were triggering for you last week, you’re not alone. With an FBI investigation underway, there’s no doubt in our minds that we’re going to be coping with this for another week or so. No matter where you stand on the political aisle, we just want to send a reminder that this community is a safe space for women to connect with each other through running and fitness to support, uplift, and encourage one another other - physically and mentally.Read More
Disclaimer: I attended Wanderlust 108 on behalf of Swisse USA (you’ll learn more about them below!)
My first experience at Wanderlust 108 was amazing! New to Wanderlust 108? It’s a day-long ‘mindful triathlon’ where attendees complete a 5K, yoga, and guided meditation (three of my favorite activities) in the same day. I was invited by our friends at Swisse Wellness, Australia’s number one vitamin and supplement company, to attend Wanderlust 108 and the Swisse Discover Happiness Experience. If you’re considering attending Wanderlust 108 in the future or you’re just interested in how it went, continue reading below for my full recap.Read More

When Kiera asked me to create a half-marathon training plan, I was excited to create something to help her cross the finish line at the Philadelphia Half Marathon in November. If you've been following her on Instagram, you know that she's been spending a lot of time on her yoga mat and at the gym and less time putting in long distance mileage.Read More

In last week's newsletter, I opened up about my experience with therapy. I'll admit it, I wasn't sure if I should get this personal in our newsletter but because of the stigma associated with therapy and mental health, I decided to share my experience in hopes that it could help someone else.

Have you been thinking about switching up your regular routine and hitting the trails for some (or all) of your runs? If you find yourself itching to escape the roads or the treadmill, trail running can be a great option for you. In fact, according to Scott Douglas, the author of Running is My Therapy, studies have shown that running in nature can be very beneficial for our mental health.
This past weekend, we kicked off City Fit Girls Streak with a 9ish mile bike ride in Philadelphia. Like our group runs, our rides are welcoming to cyclists of all fitness levels.

We seem to spend the months leading up to the dreaded mid-April tax deadline preparing for the IRS and the state to tell us whether they want a piece of our savings or not. But once tax season is over, then what? How can we make sure that we’re taking care of our money with as much diligence throughout the year as we do when it’s tax time?
Let’s look at four things you can start right now, before it’s time to face our taxes again:Read More
We were excited to host (2) private sessions at Focus Barre & Yoga in Rittenhouse for a few reasons. First, we hosted a private session with them FOUR years ago when they first opened their doors. It's amazing to see how much they've grown. Second, Jill and her team are absolutely amazing.
They were very welcoming, kind, and supportive. All the traits you need when considering joining any studio. Lastly, the workouts are unique (and tough). You will feel like you've accomplished all there is to accomplish after just one session in this studio.Read More
